Scotstoun Farmhouse was completely renovated in 2005 by the award winning Michael Gray Architects. It is a light and comfortable house, sensitively integrating innovative contemporary design within a traditional building.
The living and dining area is open plan with a double height ceiling. There is a galleried television/study area. There is a TV and DVD player and intermittent, unpredictable access to wireless broadband.
The house accommodates six (adults) comfortably. Larger parties have been accommodated, but this needs to be by separate arrangement. Dogs are very welcome, however a small charge is made to cover the additional cleaning and wear and tear. Obviously, dogs need to be properly controlled around livestock.

The fully equipped kitchen is open plan, with a worktop opening onto the living room with its fireplace.
The kitchen includes a cooker/grill, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
A washer/drier is also provided.
An alternative is to try one of the excellent local restaurants. (See Eating out locally on the Location page.)

There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a shower room.
The master bedroom is located downstairs and has an en-suite bathroom. The accommodation is flexible as a double or twin room.
The second bedroom, which has the use of an adjacent shower room, can be used as either a twin suitable for children or a queen sized double bed. This is also located on the ground floor.
The two upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. One can be either a double or a twin, the second is a single.
